Trending Alert: Reverse Umbrellas Are Hot!

Well, the trend with these umbrellas is only getting hotter! For those of you playing catch-up, wondering what an inverted umbrella or reverse umbrella is all about, it’s simple but quite interesting – these umbrellas operate the way a normal umbrella does, but they go inverted or reversed, as well!

Some of you may be saying “hey, I’ve had this old golf umbrella for years and it works just fine.” So, why would having that inverted or reverse capability even matter? Case in point. You’re getting out of your car. Or you’re getting back in your car. In either scenario, how do you open or close your umbrella?

If you’re getting in your car with an old fashioned umbrella, you have to do a balancing act with holding your bags in one hand and the umbrella half covering the open space above the door. If you’re lucky enough to get in the car nice and dry, you’re bound to get wet as you try to close the umbrella from a seated position – or at least soak your door. Inverted or reverse umbrellas, however, solves that problem. Instead of hoping you don’t get wet, you can actually flip the umbrella to an inverted position so that the rain water is actually being collected and pushed off in the opposite direction, so that when its time to close the car door, you’re able to close the umbrella inch by inch until the door is virtually closed, leaving you and the inside of your car nice and dry.

The same scenario plays out but in reverse as you try to exit a car while it’s raining. Simply pop the umbrella through a small opening in the door and push it all the way open as you step out – maximum protection from the rain! The umbrellas come in numerous colors, designs and sizes (from 23 inches up to 48 inches), and in most instances can be customized with a design on one side or panel with one color.
