Custom Inverted Umbrella

First it was the color changing umbrella, which actually made it fun to deal with the rain water. Then it was the custom commercial umbrellas which were a game changer for our restaurant clients. But now, it’s perhaps our most innovative umbrella of all – the upside down inverted umbrella!

If the name itself sounds confusing, you’re not alone. Let’s start with upside down – how could an umbrella be inside down? Take a look at the inset picture above. Typically, the inside of the umbrella faces down on the handle, but our upside down inverted umbrella is the opposite. Why?

Well, that explains the inverted part of the name. The custom inverted umbrella is positioned upside down so that it can open both ways – or rather, all the way. When you start to grab the handle and push the fabric up, the inside of the umbrella starts to pop out. If you’re wondering why that makes sense to do, think of all the time you’ve had to get out of your car in the middle of a rain storm. An inverted umbrella is perfect! Simply slide it into the opening of the door and start to pop it out. Just like that, you’ll have already blocked out most of the rain. With a traditional umbrella, you have to get the umbrella all the way outside of the door – drenching yourself in the process – just to pop it open.

And once you’re outside of the vehicle, you can pop the umbrella open the rest of the way to cover you like a normal umbrella. When you get back into the car, it works the same way in reverse – pop the umbrella even further up as you open the door and find your seat. Keep pushing until it finally reaches its original position again – while keeping you dry!
